Hood Suppression Systems

The Aurora Fire Prevention Bureau would like you to be aware of the following requirements for the Hood Suppression Systems.

Permit

A Commercial Suppression permit(PDF, 245KB) must be obtained prior to installation of hood suppression through the Building and Permits Department.

Maintenance

• Certificate of inspection will be submitted to IROL after every 6 month inspection and after any repair or discharge.
• Fusible links must be replaced at least annually.
• System must be maintained in full operation and serviced every 6 months.
