National Emergency Management Awareness Month
Every August, Emergency Managers will conduct a coordinated, industry-wide awareness and advocacy campaign to promote the capabilities of emergency management and the role of emergency managers.
The Aurora Emergency Management Agency joins other emergency management agencies throughout the country in engaging and educating decision makers including chief executives to build a deeper understanding of the profession and highlight the critical role Emergency Managers play in safe guarding the community and its organizations.
The City of Aurora has recognized August as National Emergency Management Awareness Month in the following years:
