Traffic Unit & Road Safety

The Aurora Police Department’s Traffic Division consists of three traffic investigators and a traffic sergeant. Investigators’ primary responsibilities include crash investigations, hit and run investigations, major crash reconstruction and traffic safety.

For traffic issues requiring immediate attention, such as dangerous driving or accidents in progress, please call our emergency line at 911 or the non-emergency line at 630-256-5000. This will ensure that officers are dispatched promptly to address the situation.

For traffic concerns that are not currently happening or need follow-up attention, you can contact the Aurora Police Department's Traffic Division through our info listed below. Our Traffic Division handles concerns such as recurring speeding issues, parking complaints, or other non-urgent traffic-related matters.
