Child Safety Seat Inspections

Ensuring the safety of your child while on the road is our priority. We offer Child Safety Seat inspections to help you keep your little ones safe. There are two types of inspections available:

1. Court-Mandated Inspections: These inspections are required only for individuals who have received citations from an Aurora Police Officer. Court-mandated Child Safety Seat inspections are performed exclusively by our certified technicians and are conducted by appointment only on the first and third Friday of each month. 2. Regular Safety Seat Inspections: These are primarily handled by the Aurora Fire Department and are available for all City of Aurora residents (identification required). Regular inspections are conducted by certified technicians to ensure that your child safety seats are installed correctly and meet safety standards. To schedule a regular safety seat inspection, please contact the Aurora Fire Department at 630-256-4000.

Please note that there is no fee for either type of inspection. We encourage all residents to take advantage of these services to ensure the safety of their children.
