The City of Aurora Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) is responsible for administering the emergency management program for the city and is committed to developing a coordinated and cooperative program that engages the whole community in all efforts possible to prevent, protect, mitigate, respond to, and recover from all identified hazards to build and maintain a more resilient community.
The program's success is based on the collaboration and coordinated efforts of AEMA and the cadre of city departments, community agencies, individual households, and volunteer members who join together to create a comprehensive emergency management program.
