Special Operations Group

Aurora Police’s Special Operation Group (SOG) investigates gang, narcotics, firearm, and vice-related criminal activity in the city. SOG investigators patrol neighborhoods known for gun, drug and gang-related crimes and conduct proactive criminal investigations to reduce violent crimes in the city.

APD’s Special Operations Group also participates in several regional, state and federal task forces to focus on violent criminal enterprises and reducing crime around the region.
