HELP US KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE

The Aurora Fire Department, in partnership with the National Fire Safety Council, Inc., is continuing its mission to provide life-saving fire safety education to children, adults, and seniors in our community.

For more than 20 years, our fire safety program has used engaging, age-appropriate materials featuring Firepup® to teach important fire prevention lessons. These resources are distributed throughout the year in schools, at public events, and during visits to our fire stations.

“This program is about more than just kids,” said Fire Marshal Christopher Temes. “It also includes vital safety information for adults and senior citizens to help protect the entire household.”

All materials are developed by the National Fire Safety Council, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the nation’s largest provider of children's fire safety materials. Local funding is made possible through charitable contributions.

What Your Support Provides:

  • 24-page activity manuals for preschool through third grade
  • Smoke alarm and escape plan pamphlets
  • Firefighter sticker badges and fire hats
  • Safety information for adults and seniors

Donors will be recognized on the “Provided by the People Who Care” page in all printed fire safety manuals.
