Evidence Unit

The Evidence Unit is a part of the General Investigations Division whose role is to search for, capture through digital photography, collect, and preserve all items of evidence that is pertinent to an investigation at a crime scene. Other services include processing items for additional evidentiary value and collecting standards such as inked elimination prints from victims. The Unit personnel also maintain all evidence and property that is received by the Aurora Police Department, as well as facilitate return of property when applicable.
