Aurora, Illinois — The Aurora Police Department today announced enforcement results from the Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” campaign.
“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives,” said Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas.
During the enforcement period, Aurora officers conducted 57 traffic stops and issued 61 citations. Officers also made three arrests during the campaign.
Enforcement activity included: • 34 occupant protection citations • 5 distracted driving citations • 8 speeding citations • 14 other traffic citations • 2 suspended/revoked license arrests • 1 warrant arrest
