9/11 Memorial Ceremony
The City of Aurora will honor the lives lost and the heroism displayed on September 11, 2001, during a solemn memorial ceremony hosted by the Aurora Fire Department.
This annual gathering serves as a time of reflection, remembrance, and unity. Community members, city officials, and first responders will come together to pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 victims of the 9/11 attacks—including the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The ceremony will include remarks from City leadership, the tolling of the bell, and a moment of silence at 7:46 AM—the time the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
All are welcome to attend as we come together to remember, reflect, and never forget.
